South Orange County’s Men’s A Cappella Chorus
In 1974, sounds of men's close harmony began in South Orange County. This group of men, known as the San Clemente Chapter, was officially chartered in December by S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. They adopted the chorus name of "California Promise" in 1986. Recently, the San Clemente Beach Cities Harmonizers merged with Irvine's California Promise Chorus, forming a great new chorus… South County Sound. Now approaching 4 decades, the wonderful sound of men’s 4-part harmony have entertained audiences throughout Southern California.
This year, South County Sound is making a renewed effort to raise our singing and performing to a higher level and is having lots of fun doing it. There are over thirty members (and growing!) in this new and exciting group which meets every week for great music, great fun and great fellowship!
